  • Will digitalization replace people...

Will digitalization replace people in the end?

Many production plants only need a few operators to manufacture gearboxes or build engines, for example. Robots take over these processes as quickly and reliably as their flesh-and-blood colleagues never could. Digital production control systems like adm network them within the production line and help increase overall plant efficiency - by collecting and visualizing important system data.

Digitalization is more than just technology. Data must be transformed into essential information and reach the right employee, otherwise it is meaningless.

Jérôme Newie, Head of Operations at thyssenkrupp Automotive Body Solutions

The path to fully autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) is still a long ways away. The topic is still misunderstood by many people and progress tends to be overestimated.

For adm and the entire digitalization process, the focus is on our employees. The system should provide support so that they can concentrate on the essential tasks.
